From the days of the Universal Classic Monsters inspired by Gothic literature (Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Wolfman, etc.) to 80s slashers (Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street) and other supernatural oriented films such as Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, horror has long been a popular genre amongst audiences.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings sits among the best films in the MCU. Full of incredible heart and some of the best action-sequences the franchise has seen, this film radiates freshness and excitement. Phase 4 has been off to arguably the best start the Marvel franchise has seen since Iron Man.

The Suicide Squad boasts strong character beats and crisp writing. While there is an overindulgence in gore and violence, the film is engaging enough to keep fans happy. 2016’s Suicide Squad film was divisive and seemingly disavowed by most who’ve worked on it, including director David Ayer himself.

The Green Knight is written for the screen and directed by David Lowery. Adapted from the late 14th-century poem titled, “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight”, the story follows the nephew of the legendary King Arthur, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the Green Knight, a mysterious giant.

Space Jam: A New Legacy dials up the looney levels as LeBron James creates a new chapter for the iconic basketball film. A pseudo follow-up/reboot of 1996’s Space Jam, this new film looks to put a modern twist on the beloved classic.
